Camera Control

Camera control offers two control modes (graphic user interfaces): Standard, for a general TEM user, and advanced, password protected, for expert TEM users.

General mode is designed as a safety feature that prevents accidental alteration or deletion of critical information, such as scale bars, exposure number counter content, etc. Particular features that are required for general users can be selected from expert mode. These controls include:

  • Live image observation, search, and focus
  • Live FFT display
  • Exposure time and frame rate
  • Automatic noise/background subtraction
  • Flexible binning modes
  • Flexible ROI controls
  • Flexible zoom and pan controls
  • Automatic exposure full frame or ROI for live image cameras
  • Gain-exposure link for live image cameras
  • Bright-contrast-gamma-sharpening
  • Automatic histogram fit
  • Fast focus on selectable ROI
  • Cropped area acquisition
  • Bit depth selection
  • Calibration and measurements
  • Frame integration
  • CCD temperature set
  • Automatic exposure numbering
  • Automatic annotations with time, date, exposure number, TEM conditions
  • Histogram control of brightness/contract/gamma
  • TEM beam blanking control (additional option)

Image Processing Main Features
  • Histogram control
  • Pixel editing
  • Density and photometry measurements
  • Deconvolution
  • Magnification dependent scale bar
  • Length/size calibration
  • Length and area measurements
  • Annotations with text and shapes
  • Line and area profile intensity display and recording in a portable CSV (Excel) file
  • Brightness, contrast, and gamma controls
  • Arbitrary re-orientation and re-sizing
  • Dedicated printing settings
  • Flexible zoom and pan modes
  • Multiple images stitching into montage
  • Automatic image numbering with password protected edit/reset
  • Automatic annotation with date, time, TEM parameters, and text
